Update 15.3 for Spirit Crossing introduced new Wilderness activities such as Sky Fishing and economy balancing changes. Developer Spry Fox established an upfront release price alongside an optional membership plan. Changes guided by player suggestions are designated by developers with a Beacon Spark marker.

Monetization Plans

The game has an upfront price of 29.99 US dollars at release with localized prices in other countries. An optional membership plan includes nice-to-have features that were non-controversial within the community.

Sky Fishing Activity

Players can take to the skies on a fluffalo train to fish from the clouds together. Fish spawns were rebalanced so that 16 percent of fish types are sky fishing exclusives. Meanwhile, 32 percent of fish types are pier fishing exclusives, and the rest are shared between sky and pier.

Wilderness Communal Goals unite the community to clean up storm damage before the trolley departs. Players clean up storm salvage, repair storm-plagued lanterns, clean relics, or help passing spirits in the wilderness together to complete each stage. If players miss a reward, the Mail Courier delivers it via mail.

A pickaxe sweet spot mechanic rewards players for timing skills by granting bonus loot. All DJ Fuzz EE dance floor scenarios are now timed with predictable starting and ending times.

Economy Balancing Changes

Tool enhancements were updated by replacing the Trusty and Lucky options with the Bounty and Riches enhancements. Bounty grants bonus resources of the nodes harvested and costs coins instead of resources to craft. Riches grants the player bonus coins when harvesting and costs two different types of resources to craft. Enhancements now feature a 100 percent chance to craft and will no longer fail. Tools retain their existing Trusty or Lucky enhancements until all uses are spent.

The drop rate for Fluffalo Wool and Greens has been slightly lowered to manage excess supplies. Players can earn Tiny Scrap from helping others harvest co-op nodes in the Wilderness after harvesting the node themselves. This assist bonus applies to Storm Salvage, Ore, Wood, Luna Resources, and Yearning for the Mines harvestables. Players receive one Tiny Scrap for each assist on Tier 2 nodes and two Tiny Scraps on Tier 3 nodes. Tiny Scrap can be recycled for 10 coins each, with a daily harvesting cap of 200 per day.

Crafting & Resources

Players can craft some gift items in a crafting workbench located in the Village Center. Candlewic opened three new collections for different Crosslander gifts. The Alchemy Table was moved from Joule’s Workshop to the Village near the Fashion House.

Launch Pads are now more expensive to build while Lift Pads are cheaper. Wilderness traversables are now recyclable. Rudi decreased prices across his shop so almost every item is cheaper to purchase. Target Practice and Whack-a-Slime minigames pay out more Rudi coins. Pascale and the Waystation mural vending machine now sell Dye Base and Pigment exchanges.

Waystations Beacon

Waystation Beacon Charges now show the projected change applied when the next storm hits. A red line displays a projection of charge loss from the storm. A yellow line above current charges indicates that the waystation is currently gaining charges. The countdown timer was moved directly to the Beacon Charge screen.

Player Houses & Permissions

Advanced Build Mode settings in the bottom-left corner include independent camera movement without moving the player. Enabling snapping allows decorations to snap to floors, walls, and ceilings. Obstruction avoidance prevents placed decorations from obstructing other decorations. Ignoring support requirements permits placing decorations without needing another surface beneath them.

Items in Starter Plots no longer take storm damage. Players can recycle items directly from home build mode and storage instead of deleting them. Trusted Guests can water and play music for potted plants, toggle interactable items on and off, and use the owner’s crafting station.

Friendship with Crosslanders

New friendship storylines were added for villagers including Amano at Level 5. Maya became a giftable NPC whose friendship advances through gifts and quests rather than resource purification. Unique friendship rewards that were accidentally sold or recycled can be purchased back from Dusty’s Stop-N-Swap for 500 coins. Recoverable milestone items include the Sprout and Daisy Hat, Bear Ears, Bear Glider, and Spirit Eye Glider.
